Hi guys! Since it rained all day on my birthday (4/24 woot woot)and I still wanted to chronicle my outfits, I ended up taking some snaps inside of my house. I usually don't shoot inside, but since I get so many questions when I post in here on social, I figured I'd give you guys a little peek. Read on for more on my looks and more on how things are coming along so far at my new house.
Pretty Living Room:
As you guys may have peeped on my Instagram, I bought a new house late last year and have been pretty much living mom life and personalizing it ever since. Being a military family means you move. A lot. And often times, you don't want to get too attached to your home. Well, I was over it and wanted to live in a space that felt like me. Enter this art deco, Hollywood regency, mid-century modern glam, Parisian modge podge.
I was over the beige painted walls, so I painted my walls white and put chair rail and some picture frame molding on the walls. Myself. I don't have any "serious" art in my house. Just fun, fashion themed prints. The addition of all of the gold and the palms and the greek key (oh how I love greek key) make this space VERY me.
I really love how this room turned out. I still have to do some touch ups on the paint, but for the most part, it's done. I can't wait to see how it will look once my palms grow. Also, get in to that fan. I love crystals, so I decided to find a ceiling fan that was "pretty". This one has acrylic blades that come out when you use the remote to go in to fan mode. We are all about LED lights, and I love how this has 3 LED settings: daylight, warm, and a mixture for a more full spectrum light.

My entry way is pretty simple. Mirrored, silver, and a touch of gold. I have a beautiful 6 foot chandelier above this area that I didn't get a snap of. Don''t worry. When I do a full home tour, I'll show you guys all of the details. Everyone always asks me about this mirror. I have a rectangular one in the powder room I hope to one day finish painting lol.
Formal Dining:
This room is basically a mirror and metallic explosion. I love it. There is a touch of color with the china I'm currently displaying.

Play Room:
People always ask me how I have such a "fancy" style with two kids under 4. There are some cars on the floor in every room on most days, and yes, the boys do get fingerprints on all of the mirrored furniture, but I don't feel like I should have furniture I hate just because I chose to have children. My kids know they need to keep the rough housing in their rooms. So far, so good.

The play room is where we hang out and watch movies. This was the only room with a TV up until recently. Im still debating if I like the addition of a TV in the pretty living room. This furniture is the original stuff I had from our first apartment at our first duty station. All gray with metallic. The bathroom in here follows that theme as well. I plan to do something really cool to the walls in there soon, but for now, it works.
And that's it for this little preview of what I've done in here so far. Stay tuned for the other rooms and all of the updates I'm doing as well as some DIY tips. I'll be posting room by room once they're finished up complete with better photos and full shopping deets.
